12656,Syntax Highlighting for Post/Page Editor HTML editor,hakre,,"Wouldn't it be nice if for the HTML editor if it had syntax highlighting? There is some for editing themes and plugins (codepress, right?) but there isn't for the post/page editor.

Since writing HTML is easier for users using an editor using syntax highlighting (this is a bare assumption I do not have any scientific grade data about it that would proof it; but I guess that is why syntax highlighting is featured in most editors the over recent years).

Next to the fact that this could be too hard to program/integrate into wordpress are there any real reasons against it?
