MS - logged out when changing backend

Reported by: bloggus Owned by:
Priority: normal Milestone:
Component: Multisite Version: 3.0
Severity: normal Keywords: backend, sites

Description

Logged in as Super Admin.

In Sites-menu I'm changing backend to another site. On this action I'm beeing automatically logged out and directed to that site and wp-admin for logging in.

In previous versions the change av backend was performed without having to log out and log in again.

Change History (8)

I'm using subdomain installation of MS.

Seems like there is one cookie for every subdomain and not only one cookie for all.

Is it a local dev install? localhost in the hostname?

No it is on a domain on a dev server. No localhost.

When was the last time it worked for you (roughly)? That would help narrow down the changesets to check?

Sorry. Maybe I was unclear. This is on 3.0 beta 1 and it has never worked on that one.

Can you obfuscate your wp-config.php and attach it to the ticket?

All I can say is that I'm sorry. Sorry for taking up your time.

I was aware of that IE have problems with two-letter-domains, but it was not a problem with Chrome and Firefox.

Unfortunately this is also a problem in Chrome and Firefox, when changing backend, so it is more of a domain issue and not WP issue. So IE is not the only one affected of this priblem, but at least cookies works to some extent on Chrome and Firefox, but not fully.

Installed in on another domain for testing and it works without any problems on that domain (longer then two letters).
