For example if you want to use relative urls. As far as I can tell, the only way to get a realtive url (for example in a theme or plugin) which works from site to site, is to write a function which strips the 'http://' and the domain name. A simple extension to the bloginfo() function with 'relativeroot' or something would be welcome.
