Outgoing pingbacks broken

Description

I'm having problems with sending pingbacks on both within my site and external sites. I used  Ping-o-Mation to test incoming and outgoing pingbacks and trackbacks. The only thing that didn't work is outgoing pingbacks from my site.

I'm using WordPress 1.5.1.2.

Thanks, Bryan ( All Narfed Up)

Experiencing similar problems: I can't send both trackbacks and pingback either... I can receive them from outside sources ( http://www.redalt.com/External/pingomation.php). But when I use my wordpress blogs I am unable to send them to other wordpress blogs in use by me. Sending them manually from within wordpress when adding a new post does not seem to work either (pingback). Always using the newest version of wordpress.

I'm having the same problem. It started when I upgraded to 5.1.2.

From the moment I upgraded from 1.5 experiencing problems: I can NOT sent NEITHER receive trackbacks. Up till version 1.5 it worked fine.

a) I made no changes to the WordPress settings, b) Location of weblog not changed (same folder, same provider)

PLEASE HELP! because this is very disappointing for me!

  • Keywords trackbacks added
  • Priority changed from normal to high
  • Version changed from 1.5.1.1 to 1.5.2

Same as fzelders, cannot send nor do I record incoming pings. 1.5.2 in use.

I am investigating going to WP to help me with my spam problems in MT for trackbacks. MT Blacklist has stopped working for 3.x versions of MT on Windows Servers, and SpamLookup loads but does not operate, and seemingly no response from SpamLookup trouble tickets.

What's wrong with WP trackbacks? I definitely want that feature available.

I tested my 1.5.1.2 with  http://redalt.com/External/pingomation.php and was ableto make trackbacks FROM my WP, but not TO it. The response was:

Error.
