Description

I was ​browsing the sites that WordPress automatically supports for oembed and realized that ​Google Picasa is absent from that list.

Considering the considerable market share that Picasa has and the (potentially) upcoming Google Me social network it makes sense that we should go ahead and bundle Picasa Oembed support with WordPress 3.1.

I can't seem to find a reference anywhere that Picasa is even an oEmbed provider.

It looks like the ​http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/picasa-picture-embed/ plugin uses a custom embed handler.
