Reset "Front Page Displays..." to default values when all pages are trashed

Description
When I set a static front page, and afterwards delete all pages in the blog, the front page shows a 404 and the Settings > Reading > Front Page Displays section has disappeared, meaning there's no way of correcting that 404. Only un-trashing a page or creating a new one will make it visible again.
Suggestion: Reset "Front Page Displays..." to default values when all pages are trashed.
