Possible doubling of Plugin Download Count starting around 12/10/2010

Description
Wasn't sure where to post this, but here goes...not sure if this is because of all the Windows Live users coming over or not, but it appears that the daily Plugin Downloads count began doubling on or around 12/10 - 12/11. I was feeling pretty good about my PhotoSmash downloads suddenly doubling. But I finally became suspicious and checked a few other plugins and they also appear to doubling around that time. Bit of a let down...

Can this be closed? Seems that is was fixed at some point.

The Plugin Download Count doesn't appear to be exactly doubling because I do see odd numbered counts. If it were doubling, you'd expect only even number counts. I had an email exchange with Otto and he too thought the counts he was seeing also looked odd, but that it might have something to do with some issues around Zip file creation during the download process.
