Can not update gallery descriptions

I tried to update descriptions of a gallery including 77 images (attachments). The first 25 descriptions can be updated before the script fails. What can be done to edit the rest of them?

Error message Firefox: none
Error measage IE 8: Stack overflow at line 101.

Beta Version: 3.1 RC2

Does the same happen under 3.0 on that hosting setup?

I have a feeling that the host you're running will be using something such as mod_security or su-php, which is limiting the number of POST fields your server is willing to accept.
