Media library - Sort on extensions

Why is there only an option/function to view the images only? If you are looking for a word document it can be easy when you can see the documents only. This is also for PDF files and such. Maybe a function to sort on file types would be handy.

We have a dropdown for filtering by date. We could add another one for filtering by extension.

Also note that there already are views for general types, such as images, audio etc.:

All (1) | Image (1) | Unattached (1)

Like:

All (1) | Image (1) | Music (1) | Unattached (1)

and the in the music menu an option to sort on e.g. '.wma' files.

That is just the basic idea no?
