Opaque background on side nav flyout pointer

In the side navigation fly-out menus the parent menu item's grey pointer image has a non-transparent white background that blocks the sub-menu's pale blue background hover colour.

It get's worse when using the blue admin theme (see second attachment).

Hi all

Here is a zip with the the start of the changes this all works LTR I haven't done the RTL css (got to work how to flip it and to tell which way round it is).

I have may have broken the RTL css

The images will need a adjusting to improve the boarders
