Description
The Press This tool should be improved. We should make it easier for people to save links, embed videos, post photos, and quote people, among other things when their at some random website. At some point, the other things would be plugin territory, but there should be some good examples and a platform to build off of.

This is far too vague. Trac tickets should be for a single bug or feature, not umbrella requests to make something better -- every ticket is intended to make things better. Without a specific bug or feature request, there's no way to mark it complete. Please edit the ticket title and description to be for one specific thing, or open individual tickets for the specific feature requests or bug reports.

I'll read the press-this.php code tomorrow and expand on my thoughts some more. My thoughts are for something that: 1) is easy for developers to hook into, 2) allows users to select what they want to pull from the web page they were viewing. Basically, I think WordPress should allow plugins to expand Press This to data mine important information from a selected web page, such as a twitter status or flickr photo. Instead of currently just getting a title and linking to the article.
