Description

As reported in #19910 the theme customizer doesn't completely work in Opera correctly.

Upon entering the customizer if you click any links within the preview, it'll reload back to the Themes Admin with the customizer overlay still somewhat active.

Duplicated in the latest stable Opera on both Mac and Windows:

  • Opera 11.62 (Opera/9.80 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7.3; U; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.62 )
  • Opera/9.80 (Windows NT 6.1; WOW64; U; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.62

Uploading new header and background images via Theme Customizer doesn't work either (nothing happens when clicking "Upload New" link or button). Tested in Opera 11.62.

As of [20517], links within the preview frame seem to work correctly in Opera 11.62.

Uploading still doesn't work though.

  • Component changed from Themes to Customizer

Replying to SergeyBiryukov:

Uploading still doesn't work though.

Can you provide JS errors and/or a screencast? I'll look into it as well.

This screencast: http://cl.ly/3g1e3E383p0l0H2T4227 shows (with Opera/9.80 (Macintosh; Intel Mac OS X 10.7.3; U; en) Presto/2.10.229 Version/11.62)

  1. The tabs work :)
  2. The layout breaks when the scrollbar appears
  3. That the "Drag Files here" functionality is visible (Opera doesn't support HTML5 drag and drop in this build)
  4. That clcking the "Select Files" results in nothing happening
  5. That if you collapse the frame, it can't be re-opened.

Unfortunately, I see no JS errors in the console.

Issues 2, 3 and 4 from dd32's list above also occur in Internet Explorer (8 and 9, on Windows 7).

Collapsing / re-opening the frame seems to work fine though.

There don't appear to be any JS errors in IE either.

In [20758]:

Uploader & Theme Customizer: Refresh uploader flash/silverlight shims when the mouse enters the browse button. Add class to body based on uploader's drag/drop support. Properly assign customize image uploader containers (so flash shims are positioned correctly when scrolled). see #19910, #20452, #20582.

In [20761]:

Theme Customizer: Add a fallback UI for browsers that do not support drag and drop upload. see #19910, #20452, #20582.

Issues 3 and 4 from comment:6 are fixed, 2 and 5 remain.

20452-issue-5.diff seems to address issue 5 from dd32's list (the inability to re-open the sidebar after collapsing it in Opera).

  • Owner set to koopersmith
