Description

Having noticed a few recent oembed providers being added (#21632, #21635), I figured Instagram might be a good candidate for addition as well. There are two plugins which provide this (​http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/instagram-embed/ with 3,871 downloads and ​http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/oembed-instagram/ with 370 downloads), which may justify bringing this to core (maybe along the lines of what DrewAPicture and scribu noted 21635#comment:6 and 21635#comment:8).

Thoughts?

+1 for 3.5. This is simple enough that it should go in along with the other embeds added in 3.5 (soundcloud and slideshare, so far).
