Unable to Log Out with iPad

Reported by: miqrogroove Owned by:

Component: Toolbar Version: 3.4.2

Description

When I tap the upper-right corner of the admin screen, "Howdy" to get out of WordPress, the menu drops down for a split second but the browser navigates to the profile editor before I can tap the Log Out link. I don't have any problem with the sidebar flyout menus, only the menu bar on the top. Using a new iPad with iOS 6.

Change History (12)

And just for clarity, the same problem applies to the "New" menu. It takes me to the post editor before I can tap any menu option.

Interesting workaround:

If I go to my site's front page I don't have any trouble and I can log out or create new items easily. This bug only affects the toolbar in the admin pages.

The toolbar menus work fine in Safari on iOS 5. Something may have changed in iOS 6.

Is this in trunk or 3.4.2?

I don't use trunk. Too busy to install it. If there's a test site I'll try it out.

I can confirm this on trunk & 3.4.2 with IOS6. Flicking downward has no effect on the dropdowns nor on the admin menu flyouts.

Fixed in [22262], see #20614

Tested on iPad 2 > IOS6. First-touch opens the menu, second activates the link.

Thanks for the patch. Could you guys also look at related #22064 for a milestone?
