I'd like to be able to call up all posts belonging to any combination of categories (instead of one category at a time), and then to do a word search of those categories and then another word search based on that search, etc.

(Would be nice to add html meta tag keywords and rel="tag" keywords to the mix too)

I believe the ability to get_posts based on meta_values was added in ticket:2563.
