Future Posts Show Empty Category

Description

When posting to a future date, the post prematurely counts on the category to which it has been posted, even though it has not been published. This is a bigger problem if the category does not contain any previous entries as the category link is shown in the sidebar, which when clicked on, navigates to the Error - 404 not found.

Can't replicate on trunk.

Forgive my ignorance here, but what does:

"Can't replicate on trunk" mean?

This has been replicated at the first attempt by the support forum admin:

This means that the bug no longer exists in the trunk codeset which is what will become the next major release of WordPress when it is finished.
