I've written a very small patch to WordPress to allow changing the size of thumbnails created through the inline uploader. Writing a plugin seemed like overkill, since it's such a small thing, and I'm already very happy with the image uploader included in WP. I'd love to see this get included in core, since it's such a small thing, and IMHO the default thumb size is far too small for most purposes.

This ticket also calls for a UI in the admin area for specifying thumbnail size.

Closing as fixed even though that has not been provided. I suggest opening a new ticket for such. Nice patch, though!
