Permalink not saved

If you make a change to the permalink, Save, Edit, Cancel, when the post is Saved, the initial permalink change is not saved.

1. Title a new post: testing 1 2 3 4 5
2. Permalink has: testing-1-2-3-4-5
3. Edit the permalink and change it to: testing-4-5
4. Save the permalink
5. Click Edit for the permalink again, but this time hit cancel
6. The permalink still has the name: testing-4-5
7. Save the post and the permalink reverts to testing-1-2-3-4-5
8. If you Save the post after making the initial permalink change, it's saved

Tested with r8236.

The slug/permalink area no longer works this way in 2.7.
