From the testers list:

"Is it just me, or is the Bitstream Vera Sans font particularly ugly on Windows machines? Personally, I much preferred Verdana which, I think I'm right in saying, was the font up until a few builds ago."

The attached patch re-orders the font families declared to read Lucida Grande, Verdana, Arial, Bistream Vera Sans.
