I am told WordPress import does allow for a author during import.  I know RSS does not.

To be determined is if this default author should override valid author data - I would think it would.

An advanced feature would be to allow both a number author_ID or the friendly string-based author name to be entered and import.php would try to determine if the friendly name is unique.
