incorrect rendering of an accented character

Description

I'm using wordpress in an all-unicode server.

My browser is gnome's epiphany.

If I put in a post an "à" at the end of a line, instead of the "à" I see a rare character in the blog, a typical rapresentation of an incorrect unicode character.

I saw that a temporary workaround is to make the "à" not the last character, adding a dot or a no breaking space, but the bug is there.

I see the bug with firefox and IE too.

Probably invalid. Please make sure your database is using UTF8 collation.

  • Milestone 2.9 deleted

Check the collation and charset as Denis suggests.

Tested OK for me on Windows XP w/ Opera 9 + IE
