Description
Boy, it sure would be swell if I could take an existing post/page, edit the content or add tags/custom terms, and then schedule that revision to be published later, without unpublishing the previous revision.
Other people think it would be cool too...

This is an interesting idea. This is related to ticket #23314 because currently WordPress does not offer a way to save changes to a published post without updating the published post. Once that ticket gets a fix your issue would be easier to resolve. The 'Save as Draft' button suggested in the other ticket could offer a publish later feature - create a revision, then schedule a restore of that revision at the time you set.
