If i try to add a post thumbnail, i need to save as draft befor. Thats a bad workaround. Maybe its better to deactivate the "set thumbnail" function befor the post ist safed first time?

Confirmed behaviour. Autosaving first doesn't help.

Should be closed as invalid, not fixed -- that said, scribu confirmed the behavior. Reopening for now.
