Image uploader gallery order not saved with large amount of images

Description

Basically as the title says. When a large amount of images are attached to a post if you try to change the order of the images strange things happen when the order is saved.

The strange things range from the order just not saving correctly, the order numbers not being consecutive, and also order numbers being duplicated. I hope that makes sense. It seems to happen regardless of browser.

Hope I've done this right I haven't made many Trac tickets before.

  • Keywords reporter-feedback added; order upload removed
  • Milestone changed from Awaiting Triage to Future Release

We'll probably need better steps to reproduce on this.

  • Keywords needs-patch added; reporter-feedback removed
  • Milestone changed from Future Release to 3.5

I tried to save 176 images and got this warning:

"Warning: Unknown: Input variables exceeded 1000. To increase the limit change max_input_vars in php.ini. in Unknown on line 0"

Need to check how the new media workflow will affect this.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from new to closed

I think this is going to be fine with the new gallery management.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
