Unable to resize images when editing post in Google Chrome

Description

When editing a post containing an image in Google Chrome, clicking on the image highlights it like a selection, rather than displaying the resize widgets. See the screenshot for details.

Tested on Linux (Ubuntu 64, Chrome 4.0.249.43) and Windows Vista.

Resizing of images in the visual editor is a browser feature. It's available in Firefox and IE but not in WebKit (Safari, Chrome) or Opera.
