New profiles don't show same plugins as old

Description

The old profiles show different plugins than the new ones.

[My old profile http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/profile/aaroncampbell] - 21 plugins
[My new profile http://profiles.wordpress.org/aaroncampbell/] - 18 plugins

The differences are all plugins I'm a contributor to but didn't start. Personally I think the new profiles should show all plugins you're a contributor to like the old profiles do.

I've noticed the same problem for months (first asked about it back in September 2009). Another problem is that its core and plugin Trac activity seems to go back only to mid-2009.

Specifically, my profile page does not show WP-DB-Backup. I didn't start its development, but I've been the exclusive developer for three and a half years.

It wouldn't really matter except that over the holidays Matt linked all the Trac usernames to the profile page, so my hundreds of Trac comments have pageranked it into the top 5 Google results for my full name. (Not to mention, twice someone has changed the WP.org support forum profile URL from my blog to this profile page).

WP.org Support has some algorithm that lets proven users link to their own sites; I suggest that Trac do something similar instead of linking to this incompletely-developed profile site.

I agree. If you are a contributor on a plugin it should be listed on your profile. I have about 3 plugins I actively work on that aren't listed.

If the goal is to eliminate promoting usernames that haven't worked on the plugin maybe only show plugins you've actually made a commit on?

  • Milestone changed from Unassigned to WordPress.org site

I'd say its just an oversight, Quite easy to query for plugins authored by someone, and forget to check for those that they're contributors to.
