i think that simply adding LIMIT 1 on is_single() to the WP query will solve the problem

weird... the bug doesn't occur when i'm not logged.

the bug works as such: it fetches one too much post in the db, for some reason.

i see:

obviously, the bug can also be solved by editing the template, so you might as well downgrade the priority to minor.
