Description
steps to reproduce problem.
- create subdomain blog
- go into the subdomain blog
- click add blog, and add the blog
What happens is the new blog has the address subdomain.subdomain.rootblog.com
If creating a blog from the root domain then all is fine.
This really comes into play as I host customer blogs on my wpmu install. When the customer, who is on their subdomain.root.com site, creates a blog, they end up with the double-subdomain issue.
I know that could go to the primary domain to create a blog, but they don't have access to that. My primary domain blog is used to 'sell' wp websites.

Is this applicable still in 3.0? I do know that multisite accepts sub-subdomains without issue, but is the bug that they are locked in to that still in place?
