Description
By preparing and testing future version of xili-language plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/xili-language/) for WP 3.0 (mono or multisite). I note that twentyten theme is wonderful. Nothing to do to transform this localizable international default theme in realtime multilingual theme.
BUT, where to insert the languages selector (english, french, german,...).
Solution 1 : at the end of left top wp_nav_menu items - why not ? by hand or automatically with style like flags from the plugin ?
Solution 2 : better suggestion : add a optional second 'wp_nav_menu' template tag right aligned in <div id="access">
Solution 3 : add a widget space on top right of header :-(
For solution 1: a suggestion = can wp_nav_menu developers add a way to add a separator like "|" separating menu items - today as custom dummy link with this char remains a link.

This sounds like a good case for a child theme.
We can't really add a new menu location to Twenty Ten at this point. Too late in the game.
