"edit timestamp" is only preserved when 'publishing' post.

Description
When editing a post and checking the "Edit timestamp" box in the 'Advanced' section as well as changing the timestamp doesn't save whenever you 'save' or 'save and continue editing'. It only sticks when you actually click on 'publish'.
As soon as the page comes back from one of the two 'save' operations, the 'edit timestamp' box is still chekced, but the actualy date & time have reverted to the current date & time despite what was in there previously.

I believe that this now works in 2.1-alpha2 (svn-4081). I'm not sure when exactly this was fixed. There have been a number of other tickets and patches with regards to editing the timestamp.
