Description

In Appearance > Themes > Manage Themes ...

When one chooses a theme and the page refreshes, it always returning to page 1.

  • I would like to suggest that it returns instead to same page upon which the theme was chosen.

This is a problem on MU sites where there are a large number of themes to choose form.

I suggest the way most people work is to go form page 1 - 2 - 3 - 4 - etc trying themes out. Each time they try a theme out, they then have to navigate back to the page they were at.

  • Again, when there are more than 3 pages, additional pages become obscured ... so I suggest a rolldown option for page numbers instead of the current text based and summarised way.

(Yes, I know that one can 'preview' but that does not always test themes out properly).

  • I'd also like to suggest that the page was re-designed to show more themes, e.g. with an option of how many themes to show at once. A simple single or two column design with data to the right of screenshots would work fine.

  • Milestone changed from 3.0 to Future Release

These sound like worthwhile improvements for a future version of WordPress.

They are not changes we would make between RC and Release - we need to focus on small changes to fix bugs in new features and regressions.

Marking as Future Release and needs-patch.

If someone creates a patch for this feel free to mark against the 3.1 milestone or alternatively champion this change when we go through the select process for 3.1 features in a few weeks time after 3.0 is released.

As of 3.4, Manage Themes uses infinite scroll, so this is no longer relevant.
