Description

When creating custom post types I noticed that the custom post types posts show up in the custom menu area. but an index page does not like the blog post does. Or in other words there should be a place in the settings->reading section that you can define a static page for each custom post type just as you can with the blog. That way you can add that particular custom post type list page to a custom menu. Doing so would also give that link in a custom menu a .current_menu_item class.

It would be up the plugin that defines the type to do such a thing.

How would one go about doing such a thing?
