position of widgets on dashboard not saved

I have tried with actual RC to move the dashboard widgets (e.g. comments) to different columns, but when goes to different page and than return, the position returns to initial state. The rolled/unrolled state is saved, the same with global dashboard options like number of columns.

Are you using the "Go Back" button in your browser? If yes, the browser may show a cached version of the previous page (it's still in the memory cache). I've seen something similar in Opera.

Can you try force-reloading the Dashboard couple of times and then using the menu to navigate, not the Go Back button, to confirm it's not browser related.
