Error in edit theme

Hello , I have error when I edit theme from wp-admin
error message "Oops, no such file exists! Double check the name and try again, merci.";

I have search for the problem I was able to reach the problem in
file : wp-includes/theme.php
line : 343 , 364

for function dir("$theme_root/$stylesheet")
return false only and no error from server log

please help me about that
or tell me the place of function dir();

This sounds like the directory lacked the directory listing permission.. eitherway, Server configuration issue, not WordPress, and 5 months old.
