When using WordPress Multisite, the search widget only works on the primary site. When you search on any sites you have created, the search is broken and displays all your blog post in the result, with the newest on top. This bug is also present in WP MU.

I just did switch back to the default theme, but it did not help. The search only works on the primary site. You can confirm this your self at the site:
This is the primary site, and the search widgets works:
http://ekrehagen.no/
This is a new site we have created, and the search widget do not work:
http://ekrehagen.no/elevarbeid/
As you can see, the search only display _all_ the blog post, and never any real result. This is what the search url looks like:
http://ekrehagen.no/elevarbeid/?s=foreldrene
Please confirm this bug. Thanks!

Hi,
Thank you for responding. I have now tested. I deactivated all the plugins in the site "elevarbeid" at http://ekrehagen.no/elevarbeid/ -- but it did not help, the search just don't work. It only work on the primary site (http://ekrehagen.no/). You should be able to reproduce the bug simply by adding a extra site to WP MS, and then test the widget search for that site -- it don't work.

Please provide a link to a test site so that I can check that my self, if not, I can't beleive that.

Edit: If you don't show me a link to your test site, I will not believe you. Remember you must have more content in the test site, and not only one blog post, if not you can't test if the search actual work or not. Please give me a link to a test site, it must not be the primary site.

You are running WordPress 3.1-alpha, so the test does not help me. You should not have tested with a alfha og beta version. I am running the most recent stable versions, WordPress 3.0.1. So your test is useless for me. Unless you are willing to test this on WordPress 3.0.1, please do not respond. I don't have time for this. You have wasted my time.

As if your time is the only one that's important. You should have mentioned the version from the begining.

You should have mentioned your version. Of course I don't report a bug in any other version then the most recent stable version. I don't run dev versions on a live site. I am still looking for feedback from someone not running dev versions.

- Resolution set to invalid
- Status changed from new to closed
I have found the problem. The search don't work when folders with the same name as the sites physical exist. When the folders is removed from my site, the search works. Unfortunately I need those folders to exist, so I will have to think about a workaround for that site.
Can't reproduce.
Try disabling all plugins and switching to the default theme.
