Private pages cannot have private subpages

Description

I have created a private page which will house documentation to be made available only to logged-in users. I've marked this page as private. I place pages under this main page and also mark those as private. However, whenever I save those pages, the 'parent' defaults to 'no parent'. This is not proper functionality: page privacy should be ignored when organizing pages in this way.

Aldo, this is -- technically -- pluginable in a way or another. If only by hijacking the wp query in the page editor. The author of whichever plugin you are using could, and should, have fixed this ages ago. Or at the very least contributed the patch.

Fwiw, this bug is -- said Matt in a separate ticket -- lowest priority material. Unless the plugin gets released as gpl.
