Description
Every time you refer to one of your own pages it pings your own blog.
I currently use the "No Self Ping"-plugin (http://wordpress.org/extend/plugins/no-self-ping/) to prevent that, but there should be definitely a built-in option for it.

We don't add options without very good reason. A) Pings should simply work, and B) there's already a plugin for it that does exactly as described. So we would not add an option for this.
As written in #13649:
Some people like self-pingbacks as a way to easily cross-link related articles.
Going to close as worksforme; you might wish to open an ideas forum thread: http://wordpress.org/extend/ideas.
Closing as wontfix.

I don't think this is something worth a UI option for.
If you don't want it you can install the plugin which is simple and has no UI.
