Description

The RSS feed doesn't know to follow the redirects.

We'll need to restore a feed at /development/feed/ -- rewrite instead of redirect.

Just tested this, my feedreader (opera) has no problem at all with that.

Not all feed readers follow redirects apparently. The fact that Opera is nice to us users and redirects can't be translated onto everyone else out there.

Specifically, This ticket was created due to a older version of WordPress not following the redirect I believe? (And this was brought up recently as well)

Not the browser I'm referring to. It's the HTTP transport for the dashboard meta boxes.

I have a WP.org fix for this I need to deploy. Was looking into it the other day after seeing a report elsewhere, I think on a mailing list. Forgot I created a ticket for this.

Hmm, a client as well, right?

Can you share some specifics, this might be worth to fix in core "as client" as well.

nacin: Do you have the patch for this? Send it to me. I tried a simple .htaccess mod, but it still redirected due to canonical URLs. And if you have it, it'd save me some time. :)

Okay, it's been redirecting for three years, so I'm assuming this was not a critical problem.

If it is, then open a new ticket on meta about it.

Note: See TracTickets for help on using tickets.
