Can't future date a draft

Description

I've been trying to future date a draft post but it doesn't work (even with the Edit Timestamp checkbox checked). Seems like a bug to me.

Change History (10)

  1. Create Draft.
  2. Pull up draft to edit and set date into future.
  3. Save again as draft.
  4. View draft, and date has not been set in future.

Can't recreate here.

To reproduce it, future date a draft post then save it as a draft (don't publish it).

Well if it's saved as a draft it isn't going to be published. To publish to the future you, well, publish to the future, not draft to the future.

I've fixed this for patch day.

I said that :)

Patch that fixes this is here: http://meidell.dk/blog/files/bug0000154.diff

How did this bug ever become a blocker?

  • Patch set to No
  • Priority changed from normal to low
  • Severity changed from blocker to minor
  • Summary changed from Can't future date a post to Can't future date a draft
  • Version changed from 1.2 to Current CVS

What file is this patch for? The diff doesn't include this info. Also, removing blocking status. Can't see why it was marked as a blocker.

  • Status changed from new to assigned

We will try to resolve this problem. Thank you.

  • Resolution set to fixed
  • Status changed from assigned to closed

When I change the date of drafts and then save them it seems to save it, even though if you forget to uncheck the box it'll update the date.
