Description

can we have a file that functions just like ajax-admin, but out of the admin folder, to solve problem #4 mentioned ​here of wp-admin being password protected

That note is incorrect - I have removed it from the codex.

There are a number of previous tickets on this where the reasons why you should be using admin-ajax.php have been explained.
