This would change existing styling for blogs, so I'm inclined to avoid fixing this. Might need to wait until the next default theme.

CC'ing the theme guys.

I think the patch would be probably be OK — it is the expected behavior — but I agree that it might be safer to wait for a Twenty Eleven theme on this one.
