Ticket #16379, comment 143
initial v1 8 8 I disagree, quite strongly. In my experience, relatively non-technical clients think of the blog as a "page" on their website. I've also used it as a way to let clients name the blog page something like Latest News, set its slug, add a blurb to the page (with template support) add it to menus, and allow them to set a featured image for a banner or something on the latest posts page. 9 9 10 I would go so far as to say that custom post types should have the capability to create a dummy page of their own, and work the same way. I've even added this functionality to other post types sites myself, since it made it so much easier for the client to manage.10 I would go so far as to say that custom post types should have the capability to create a dummy page of their own, and work the same way.
