Description

Quickly pressing an "aside" (see Post Formats, #14746) to your blog?

No way, you need to quick press the draft, then load the full editor just to change the post format.

Would be great to be able to select that for really quickly pressing.

You can set a default post format under Settings > Writing, which will then be respected.

Replying to nacin:

Thanks for the hint but that would need to change it then for any other post, so not that "quicky" as well.

  • Component changed from General to Administration
  • Keywords dev-feedback added
  • Priority changed from normal to low
  • Severity changed from normal to minor

QuickPress is meant to be a quick default. I'd love it to have categories, you'd love post formats, someone else would love featured image, etc. QuickPress is due to be revisited, but not just to add more stuff. I think Nacin's point is in line with the intent of the dashboard module. Suggest we close as wontfix given the intent to do combined press this/quickpress redux after 3.3.

+1 on that.
