Description
My site CONTOELPESO.COM is being targeted by some spammers I believe in Russia and they have been perfoming DoS attacks on my wordpress. My VPS company said that they have targeted the wordpress not the server, I was wondering if there was sort of known bug that you guys know that allows people to cause this to wordpress

If you need suggestions on how to cope with a large amount of traffic, you might be best looking into a caching solution. The support forums is a better location for such requests: http://wordpress.org/support/

A DDoS attack will happen no matter what software is used. Unless they are actually accessing your WordPress install (such as the admin panel), this is simply an issue with a lot of requests to your server. Doesn't seem to be a WordPress issue.
