Ticket #17276, comment 30
v1 v2 1 1 yes, the_terms(), that's nice > and maybe i won't do anything then --- BUT as you can see with my widget examples, i think it's much nicer that wordpress "AUTOMATICALLY" engages the handling of the custom pt/tax > rather than the "seek/find/code" method currently needed to handle custom pt/tax - i'm not saying that someone can't "seek/find/code" to get EXACTLY what they want (how they want it), but instead i'm merely saying it's nicer if they don't have to... 2 2 3 i mean if custom post types and tax are using default theme templates - it nice the post typesdisplay that way, but then things like the_category() are broken3 i mean if custom post types and taxies are using default theme templates - it nice the post types can display that way, but then things like the_category() are broken 4 4 5 so i'll look into it > maybe the_category() and/or the_tags() can "jump to" the_terms() when such is fitting and makes sense to so5 so i'll look into it > maybe the_category() and/or the_tags() can "jump to" the_terms() when such is fitting and makes sense - so extra "seek/find/code" is not needed 6 6 7 7 however, that's later (when i look into that) anyway - first i'm gonna get down to the Archives and Calendar widgets
