    11@matveb semantics and search engine friendly are often tied, but not the same. Point well taken from the link and let's say that this will indeed be the new way of proper SEO (and we don't know that yet) but {{{<h1 class="section-heading">Main menu</h1>}}} does not fall into this area. Not from old, current or HTML5 as the future standard.

    3 Experimental is one thing if this was a value-added Theme, however Twenty Eleven is new Twenty Ten and IMHO we cannot experiment with default Theme that will be used by possible millions of users. My proposal is to abide the old rules and stick with what we know and one day when HTML5 is globally accepted as the new standard we can make changes.

    55For right now this does not seem to be right or fair to WP users. Not knowing and that neutral area between the hot and cold is the entire point of the original ticket. Once again IMHO only.
