Click add new post.
Inside the content area of the new post insert:

I used ALT+SHIFT+T.
Click full screen (DFW).
Behold horizontal scroll bar.

It should also be noted that when the editor has an off-white background, the background to the left of the "more" text and under the "more" line is white. A change in the MCE stylesheet to background:transparent fixes it.
