Description

When uploading an image to WordPress and attempting to attach it to a Post or Page through the Media Library, the menu for selection is blank. There are no pages or posts listed to attach to. I was having this issue on an updated version of WordPress with about 12 plugins installed, but I installed a fresh copy and used the default theme to get the same errors with no plugins installed. I thought there was an error on my end, but I am seeing the issue in a brand new install.

Replication:
Install a fresh copy of WordPress
Upload an image
Attempt to attach it

From what I can tell, this happens in all browsers.

WFM. Make sure you're searching the correct page otherwise nothing shows up.

Wow, I feel pretty stupid now. Sorry for the clutter! For some reason, I thought that the items would show up when you started typing. Google instant search has really gotten to me.

I have been thinking about this, and I don't understand why this doesn't function like the Internal Linking feature. When writing a post or page, you can select the text and click the link feature. The dialog displays all content, and you are able to filter it as needed. There is no reason for the Media Attacher to not be the same. It should show all content and allow you to filter it as needed. This is the reason why I assumed it did not work. It works differently in another part of WordPress.

I think that the functionality between the linking and the attaching functions should be the same. I will change this to an enhancement.
