v1 v2 1 As such, even if load_template() can be used in a backwards compatible way in template-loader.php, as you suggested, I don't think it's worth it.1 As such, I don't think we should be encouraging it by using load_template() in template-loader.php (even if it's done in a backward-compatible way).
