Commas in taxonomy term causes misdisplay in taxonomy metabox on post edit page

If a taxonomy term has commas in it, it will be displayed incorrectly in the taxonomy metabox on the post edit page. Instead of displaying the term, it will display as multiple terms broken where the commas are.

For instance the term 'Dumas, Alexandre, 1802-1870' becomes the three terms 'Dumas' 'Alexandre' and '1802-1870'.

If the post is updated, it's terms will be replaced with displayed terms instead of the original term.
